I had the pleasure of attending an event at Bolton Little Theatre held in their charming "Forge" space, where incredibly talented acoustic musicians showcased their skills.

Brilliant theatre, excellently run by volunteers. Nice little bar area, toilets look like they've recently refurbished. Everyone very friendly and welcoming. The outside looks lovely just a shame the surrounding area is run down.

Absolutely wonderful. For the past few years we have gone into town or to the Lowery for my son's birthday but austerity meant we had to slim down this year and stay local. With the Octagon out of action I was out of ideas but my wife found this gem. I'm not a local, but I've lived here for almost 20 years and I'm ashamed to admit I've never been. Boy were we missing out! Such a friendly atmosphere. It was a panto, and the performance was great, lots of local references even I got 😋. The seating is the only complaint I have. At a little over six foot, I need more leg room than offered, but the seats themselves are very comfy. The refreshments on offer in the interval were very reasonably priced. I didn't fancy a drink from the bar but I did notice that there was no massive queue as with other venues I've visited. Possibly because of the presence of children or just very efficient staff, I can't say, with the noise those kids were making, I'd need a drink or ten 😋. All in all we had a great evening and we are looking forward to our next visit.

Loved the play, Hobsons Choice, and the players were very good. Think the floorboards on the stage need to be relaid as they were very loud and creaky throughout the play. And I understand its a voluntary organisation but the background scenery wasnt the best but it didnt detract from the productions overall performance. Very enjoyable.

It is a quaint little theatre,with the aura of a well loved and well run local landmark.The play itself was beautiful and haunting.The actors were fab.bravo..x
